Tara and David's wedding took place in downtown San Francisco, California at the Hamilton Ballroom. The hotel was very art deco; built in 1929 so it lend the perfect location for Tara and David's roaring 20's style wedding. Tara and her bridesmaids were dressed very era correct, and even the weather - when the fog rolled in, it felt like a scene out of the Great Gatsby. Mark Hespeth was the officiant for the ceremony. After the couple tied the knot we headed up to the roof for some final pictures. It was a special day and I was so honored to capture it. Enjoy the pictures!

Alison + Greg | April 19 2013 | Santa Cruz
My first wedding of the 2013 season started with Alison and Greg at Thomas Fogarty Winery in the Santa Cruz mountains. The weather was wonderful and perfectly clear that you could see San Francisco and the entire bay area from the ceremony spot. It was a beautiful day of love, with the help of wedding planner Lindsay from 2 Friends Events. Congrats newlyweds Alison + Greg! Check out the photos below :)

And lastly here is a photo that didn't make it in but was my favorite from the day.

Jess + Koshi's Bottom of the Hill Wedding
Trying to get to your wedding on time and Muni is late! Argh!! Typical San Francisco problems.
Haha okay serious now, I had the honor of documenting my upstairs neighbors Jess and Koshi's big day. We both share studios with our significant others so I think we understand each other on a unique level. It's not easy living in a shoebox with your S.O. but if you can make it work, you guys are meant to be. They also introduced me to Nap's dive bar which I am forever grateful for.
Jess and Koshi had their ceremony at Bottom of the Hill and the reception was at RF-80. It was a very DIY wedding, they made all their own centerpieces, decorations, and even made a zine for guests to read. They cut a roasted pig instead of a cake. Don't worry there was plenty of sweets, they had cupcakes and Humphry Slocombe ice cream mmmm. And instead of little chocolates for the guests to take home, they donated that money to the SF Food Bank, how awesome is that?!
Congratulations to Jess and Koshi!

KK + Stefan's American and Swiss Cheese Wedding
All the details really made this wedding special. Any couple that forgoes the typical sugary wedding cake for a very impressive cheese display is cool in my book. I'm not sure how I get so lucky documenting such amazing weddings but seriously look at all that cheese provided by the Cheese School of SF.
So check out the teaser video above and if you want to see more, watch the extended version here. Congratulations to the newlyweds KK + Stefan!

Retouching: Twilight in Calistoga
Here is an example of my retouching. I took this image at a recent wedding in Calistoga - beautiful wine country. The wedding took place at the couple's house. The driveway to this view was literally straight up! Before the ceremony a couple cars got stuck and had to be towed.
The after picture is actually made up of two images - one picture I exposed for the sky and the other was exposed for the ground. I also brought out the color variations in the ground, warmed up and lightened the image, and made the moon bigger - hey why not!? Image taken at the magic hour - twilight. Please contact me for my rates for post production.
Also wanted to add you can now book me and other amazing artists through Apollo Fotografie! It is a small collective of photographers and filmmakers based throughout northern and southern California. Check it out! :)

Pamela & Paul's Forest Wedding
Here is Pamela & Paul's wedding video from Paper Weight Films, which I did the second shooting for. I probably say this about every wedding I work on, but this was one of my favorites. The whole event was very intimate as it took place at their beautiful home nestled deep in the Northern California forest. I love all the details they put into the wedding as well. Check out the video! David, editor and cinematographer of Paper Weight Films did a great job main shooting and putting this film together. His wife and creative director, Lindsay was the wedding planner for the day and made sure everything ran smoothly. They are such an awesome team together.
The wedding took place in Lewiston, a small town on the edge of Trinity National Forest. It was about 5 hours from San Francisco and a quite a drive. Luis, my partner in crime, came with me on the trip. While I was working, he spent the day riding around the lake on his Miyata Ridge Runner Team mountain bike. The day after the wedding we went to Mount Shasta and enjoyed our mini vacation. Here are some mobile pics..

Sarah + Brian's Vintage Wine Country Wedding
Here are some quick screen shots (check image to see larger) I took while reviewing the video footage from Sarah and Brian's wedding yesterday. The venue was the Garden Pavilion - a beautiful private estate in Sonoma, CA. What made the wedding so special - besides Sarah and Brian being so cute and madly in love - was all the romantically vintage inspired details of the day. I mean look at that dessert table! Add in all the supportive family and friends and you got yourself a pretty spectacular day to remember. Congrats you guys!

Srini and Andrea's Wild West Wedding
Have you ever considered having a wild west themed wedding? Probably not? Me neither. But that all changed when I arrived at the Long Branch Farm in Half Moon Bay, CA. This place is truly amazing!
I assisted my good friend Manali Sibthorpe on this wedding, check out her perspective from the wedding on her blog. We spent a beautiful day with Srini and Andrea documenting their special day. xoxo
